The Global Solidarity Ride in support of the Afghan Womens Cycling team is on this Saturday and there are rides being organised all around the world! Our ride, Dare to Ride, organised with our friends at The Squeaky Wheel and Pushy Women, is fully booked.
If you’re in Sydney you might want to join in with these ladies who have organised a ride there.
Or you can join in with Vello Fille in Warragul, from wherever you are. Vello Fille are supporting the Afghan Women with their Warragul to Kabul ride. The great thing about Warragul to Kabul is that you can join in no matter where you are! Check out all the details here and jump onto their Facebook page.
Meanwhile in Adelaide you can jump on this! Or check out the global list of rides for the one closest to you.
And remember whether you are able to ride or not, you can also support the team by making a donation. And wherever you are riding make sure you share the pictures and fun of your ride with the world using the #solidarityride2014 The Afghan Women’s Cycling Team are also riding on the 30th and we want them to see the world riding with them!
Here is an update on the story behind the Afghan Women’s Cycling team and the support they’ve been getting from Shannon Galpin and Mountain 2 Mountain. You can also check out Issue 14 of Treadlie for our feature on the team.
