It’s no secret that Velo-city Global will be held in rAdelaide in 2014. With Mayor Stephen Yarwood’s plans to turn Adelaide into a cycling city and keynote speakers such as Janet Sadik-Khan it promises to be a significant moment for the City of Adelaide. And just to make sure that planners and urbanists aren’t the only ones having fun, the City of Adelide have come up with Velo-fringe! Just like the famous Adelaide Fringe, but smaller and on bikes!
It will be lots of fun and a great celebration of what’s great about bike riding. Velo-fringe is a means for local communities and groups to share everything they enjoy about bikes in the way that only they do best. It will be open access so for a small fee anyone can create an activity and register to put it on from January 2014.
It goes without saying that such a fabulous event is going to need a fabulous logo. Your Mission – should you choose to accept it – is to create a logo, which can be used to promote ‘Velo-fringe’. The winning logo design entry will be featured in the branding and marketing material for Velo-fringe 2014. The winning logo designer will win a $600 voucher from Giant to purchase the bike of your choice and free registration to stage an event or exhibition as part of velo-fringe 2014.
Entries will be judged by members of the Velo-City 2014 Managing Committee (Sandy Verschoor, Kylie Bennetts and Margaret Howard), with the winner to be notified by Friday 17 January 2014. The winning entry will be announced with the opening of participant registrations for Velo-fringe 2014 on Friday 24 January 2014.
Terms and conditions along with the entry form are available here and you send enquiries to [email protected].
