Everyone loves a jumble sale, right? We popped down to the Fall Brooklyn Bike Jumble on the weekend just gone to check out New York City’s only Bicycle Flea Market. The Brooklyn Bike Jumble has been held at Washington Park, Park Slope, Brooklyn for five years and brings together vendors from all over the east coast to sell new and used bikes, accessories, or just hang out and talk about bikes. Groups like the Bicycle Messenger Foundation , Times Up!, StreetsPAC and WE Bike were also there and it was great having the opportunity to talk to some of them about what cycling in New York is like and how its changing.
New York artist Taliah Lempert was represented.
and of course there were wheels in ALL the colours.
Vaya Bags from out of Queens NY were a new discovery for us.
and we had a good chat to WE Bike NYC about getting people cycling and working on their bikes.
not to mention ALL the bikes!
