Shot by award-winning photographer Matt Ben Stone, Kage is a short on cycling in the summertime. A group of racers meet at the top of a car park and lap around a course, the event irrelevant to the feelings conveyed, a romantic vision of cycling and the rhythmic feelings that it creates in the warm fuzziness. The long shadows of the evening sun dance through the frame, the speed of the pedal stroke in correlation with the beat. The idea evolved from that romantic feeling of cycling in the summertime, and looking down and seeing the rhythmic, meditative pedal stroke.
