It’s no secret that Velo-city Global is coming to Adelaide in 2014. And its no secret that Adelaide Mayor Stephen Yarwood is busy trying to transform the city into a leader in 21st Century mobility.
Velo-city Global 2014 promises four days of packed programmes for planners and urbanists from all over the world. With an impressive line-up of speakers from across the globe, Velo-City 2014 promises to bring inspiring expertise and experience about all aspects of cycle planning.
Speakers include, Janette Sadik-Khan, Commissioner of the New York City Department of Transportation and at the helm of many of the most significant changes made in New York in recent years, Florian Lennart of Intelligent City Forum and Mikael Colville-Andersen of Copenhagenize Design just to name a few.
Velo-city Global conferences are part of a series widely acclaimed to be the world’s premier cycle planning conferences – where hundreds of delegates from all over the world gather each year to share ideas, discuss innovation and learn more about how to create cities and places that embrace bike riding as part of daily transport. Velo-city Global Adelaide will build on this narrative in its own special way.
Running from May 26th-30th there is of course so much more promised and you can check out the full programme here. ALL delegates will receive a bicycle for use for the duration of the conference making it just that much easier to get around Adelaide and take advantage of many of the bicycle tours offered as part of the conference programme.
Early bird registrations for the conference are open now and there are special incentives if you register by February 17th.
