You don’t need to own a bike to enjoy all the fun of a cycle in the park, thanks to the upcoming City of Sydney’s free lunchtime try-a-bike sessions in gorgeous Hyde Park.
You’ll be geared up with a bike and helmet and given top tips from seasoned riders. And if you’re among the first 200 to turn up, you’ll even get a free bite to eat from the popular food truck, Cantina Movil.
The try-a-bike sessions are part of the Sydney Rides Business Challenge. More than 2,600 employees from over 260 businesses are on board for the four-week challenge that runs until 19 April.
If you already own a bike, bring it along for a free tune-up. Route planners will also be on hand at the free riding sessions to give you expert advice on getting from A to B with ease, plus you’ll get the latest bike information, find out about other free courses and pick up a handy map.
Try-a-Bike sessions will run on two more Wednesdays – 1 April and 15 April at Hyde Park north, near the College Street cycleway.
