This weekend just past saw our third weekend of bicycle fun down at Birrarung Marr in conjunction with the Sustainable Living Festival. Kicking off, fittingly, on Valentine’s Day, the Treadlie Bike Hub was three days of sharing the bike love, with stall holders, speed dating, a projector bike ride, test rides, free maintenance classes, a swap meet and roller racing. Visitors enjoyed browsing the huge range of bicycles, accessories and fashion.
Velo Cycles were kept busy with the free maintenance classes they held down by the river.
Paul and Charlie Farren dropped by to check out the stalls, including Bago Studio‘s bicycle fashions.
Bicycle retailers were kept busy with test rides. The test ride path saw folding bikes, electric bikes, cruisers, fixes, single-speeds, uprights, commuters and everything in between showing off their best sides as riders enjoyed the river views.
Brunswick Cycling Club and Saint Cloud hosted Roller Racing for all, with music and good vibes from Cargone Couriers and prizes from Rapha Australia.
Commuter Cycles hosted a swap meet on the Saturday morning for the bargain hunters!
Thanks so much to all of our stall holders. We couldn’t do it without you! Here’s just a taste of the fabulous weekend we had. You can check out more photos online at Flickr.
