A new, fully-supported bike tour has been launched on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula. This 12-day guided cycling tour will highlight the delicious and abundant seafood and adventure experiences that Eyre Peninsula has to offer.
Operator Mulga Bicycle Tours provides active holidays with personal service, a commitment to safety and a touch of luxury.
“Our tours are about travelling at a relaxed pace and focusing on the journey, not on the kilometres or the clock,” says Mark Arundel, who together with his wife Denise started Mulga Bicycle Tours in 2017.
“South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula is one of those regions that should be added to the list of best cycling destinations in Australia, if not the world. The gently rolling country and bike friendly roads make this a perfect destination for cycling,” he adds.
The cycling tour starts in the ‘West Coast’ town of Ceduna, finishing 12 days later in Cowell on the Spencer Gulf. Other towns on the itinerary include Streaky Bay, Elliston, Cummins, Coffin Bay, Port Lincoln, Tumby Bay and Arno Bay.
“Our guests want to be active and try new things, but they also want to be looked after. They’re on holidays, after all. So each day our guests eat fantastic food, and each night they sleep in the best available accommodation.”
Mulga Bicycle Tours will be showing off the best of Eyre Peninsula and taking full advantage of the unique experiences in the area, including cage diving with great white sharks.
“It’s about the perfect blend of indulgence and adventure. What more could you want from a bicycle tour?” said Mark.
The tour – to be led by Denise and Mark, who are both experienced cycling tourists – is limited to 14 guests to ensure personal attention, making it an ideal experience for those new to cycle touring.
