While we admittedly have a soft spot for gadgets and gizmos, we are equally as intrigued by inventors who are thinking up new and different ways to enjoy cycling. Hence our interest in the Seatylock, which combines a saddle and a lock in one.
Targeted for urban cyclists, Seatylock can be converted from a saddle into a one-metre solid lock using a straightforward mechanism, and back again when you’re ready to ride. Each device comes with a universal adaptor for any bike and can be adjusted to suit your preferred saddle position.
The Seatylock has received mixed reviews but one author at least notes that the “concept is amazing in theory”.
