The Tweed Ride in Rutherglen, part of North East Victoria’s High Country Harvest, is a cycling adventure set in the glorious wine country of the north-east. Event organisers are calling all chaps, dandies and bon vivants to join them for a weekend of cycling revelry, divine food and vintage fashion in Rutherglen.
Attendees are encouraged to embrace the theme and step out in vintage style – tweed jackets, plaid skirts, bowler hats and retro bikes are all welcome. The Tweed Ride is a gentle ride of approximately 20km, interspersed with three incredible food and wine experiences that showcase the very best of the Rutherglen region.
The adventure will begin with a bubbly brunch by Andrew Buller Wines, which is sure to make the fashionable riders ready to take on a day of delicious food and beautiful sightseeing. The ride will then continue forward to a lunch at The Pickled Sisters Cafe in Cofield’s vinyard, and finish with an indulgent afternoon tea at Rutherglen Estate.
