Place Design Group collaborated with project partners Stockland, Eureka Landscapes and Urban Play to create the Aura Pedal Park in Queensland. Designed to coax little ones to hop on their bikes, it includes a “learn to ride” bike circuit with varying terrain that encircles an enticing central playground.
Complete with a tunnel, a timber bridge and even traffic lights, the Aura Pedal Park was made to educate young riders in a welcoming, safe environment. To that end, the local council operates children’s cycling courses and workshops on-site during school holidays.
Proving that it’s never too early to learn bike handling skills or riding etiquette, this Pedal Park certainly attests to the adage ‘learn good habits young’.
