The Ten Mile Well Cycle race took place annually on the first Spring weekend from 1896 until World War 1, starting out from Wray Avenue Fremantle.
To celebrate cycling and the start of spring a social ride honouring this historic race has been planned for Saturday September 14th. Rides will commence from 10:30am at Moondyne Joe’s on the cnr of Wray and Hampton, with three different routes of varying length and a celebration after your ride at Replants (96 Wray Avenue) between 12-3pm. There’ll be bike poetry and prose, live music and BYO picnic or BBQ food to share. This is a family-friendly and waste free event. So please – no disposable plastic, glass or aluminium.
You can check out all the details of the different rides and register at the Wray Avenue blog or on the facebook page for this event.
