Newcastle Overnight is a slightly organised, slightly mad ride from Sydney to Newcastle. Overnight.
Inspired by the annual Dunwich Dynamo ride in the UK, Newcastle Overnight aims to bring together cyclists interested in a moderately challenging distance (100miles or 160km), in somewhat unusual circumstances (the night time), and having a thoroughly wonderful time doing it.
This year’s ride is scheduled for Saturday November 16th; the weather should be nice, the night short and the moon almost full. The ride leaves observatory hill in Sydney at 9pm and will finish up in Newcastle whenever you get there. (Be prepared to ride all night) It is an unsupported ride but one which encourages rider-to-rider helpfulness.
