Melbourne firm Searle x Waldron Architecture have made bicycle parking fun and festive with these end-of-trip facilities for the University of Melbourne’s Southbank Campus.
The team didn’t shy away from colour and sought to spice up the public realm with a vibrant façade that can also be enjoyed from within. The project includes a large bike store, bike repair station, student change rooms, showers, toilets and lockers. Most importantly, the building a student café for essential post- or pre-ride caffeine fixes.
While they say the journey is often better than the destination, we think a swish facility like this will have students flocking there to park their steeds!
