In only its second year the Boucle De Burbs is already shaping up for a future as an iconic event. Touring the backstreets and alley ways of Adelaide over the course of a day the Boucle De Burbs is happily described as an outing with prospects for taking in the scenery. We can’t think of a better way to spend a day in the saddle!
Setting out from from Bonython Park Pond from 12pm Sunday August 25th you have all afternoon to arrive at the final destination 40kms away. Take your time, stop for refreshments, take your time to enjoy the day and bring your friends and family. Fancy dress and all sorts of creativity is encouraged, make it a carnival on wheels! There’ll be prizes for doing so. Arriving at your destination you’ll find Veggie Velo busy cooking up a storm for hungry cyclists.
Of course one of the best things about a bike ride is the things you discover along the way. We’ll be planting a copy of Treadlie at a soon-to-be-revealed location. All riders who instagram a selfie of themselves reading Treadlie and tag it with both @Treadlie and #BoucledeBurbs will go in the draw to win a Treadlie Prize Pack. And for those without Instagram? Don’t worry, there’ll be paper and a pencil so you can hand in your low-tech-old-school selfie to Sam at the ride finish and still be in with a chance!
