After a cracking first event in 2013 the Giro d’Perth is back, even bigger and better in 2014.
Billed as a back lane bike odyssey the Giro d’Perth allows everyone, no matter what sort of rider, to get out on their bikes with their friends and discover a new side to their city. You can do it fast, or slow, fixed, roadie, townie or with kids in tow. Do it with a basket or do it with your mates, the important thing is to have fun doing it.
Held on Sunday March 16th and with three routes of varying length, plenty of places to stop for a drink and a bite to eat and clues to be deciphered on-route the Giro d’Perth promises up to three hours of riding fun in the City of Vincent and surrounding suburbs. You’ll be finishing up at the Perth Soccer Club where there’ll be pizza and pasta, a bar and a photo booth. Park your bike right and it could win one of six Treadlie prize packs for categories such as Best Vintage, Best Decorated, OMG, Italian Stallion, Glamour Push and Esprit de Giro.
Registrations are open now and close March 5th. You can register solo (you’ll always find someone to ride with on the day) or register a team. The Giro d’Perth, Sunday March 16th from 8am onwards.
