Billed as the world’s most advanced and yet simple cargo bike, the Butchers and Bicycles Mk1, hand built in the meatpacking district of Copenhagen, is soon to land in Australia.
Butchers & Bicycles are three danish design engineers on a mission to change the driving experience associated with cargo bikes. Traditionally, three-wheeled cargo bikes have solved many everyday tasks well, but they have never been associated with great driving pleasure.
Butchers and Bicycles developed the Mk1 cargo bike with its game changing patented built-to-tilt™ driving system, for anyone who wants the carrying capacity and convenience of a cargo bike, but doesn’t want to compromise on the joy of cycling.
On the Mk1 you lean into the turn in the same, intuitive way that you are used to with your normal two-wheeled bikes. With the Mk1, you will experience intuitive, easy and stabile riding. Fitted with an an electric motor the Mk1 becomes even more practical for more riders, no matter what your urban terrain.
Available in either black or white, the Mk1 can also be fitted with the Bosch Performance Line eBike system for those after electric assist. Standard with all bikes are the easy access and transparent front door (with a child-proof lock), a lcokable glove box with integrated cup holder, parking stand and NuVinci® N360™ hubgears for smooth and seamless shifting. With Tektro Hydraulic disc brakes and Schwalbe Marathon Plus puncture proof tires the Mk1 promises a smooth ride.
Optional accessories include hoods for all-weather riding, the Gates Carbon Drive belt, lighting systems and child seats with fixed 3-point seat belts.
