Cyclist and author Hrvoje Jurić is attempting his biggest adventure to-date with the support of main partner, Giant Bicycles. His mission? To cycle around the world on an e-bike in 100 days.
After years of preparation, Hrvoje has assembled his team and set his departure for 8 June. His route is split into four legs: Croatia – Russia (11 369 kilometres, 38 days), Australia (5474 kilometres, 20 days), Alaska, Canada and USA (8555 kilometres, 32 days) and Lisbon – Zagreb (3080 kilometres, 10 days).
Giant Bicycles has equipped Hrvoje with “a very special model of Revolt E+” for his journey. The all-road bike has been designed to fit his measurements and provide support on each one of the 29 000 kilometres.
Shares Hrvoje of his latest adventure: “Maybe I’ll be the first person to cycle the globe on an e-bike, but for me, that’s not the main focus in this project. I want to explore my limits, to see how weak I am and try to do my best to finish this ride as soon as possible. I was thinking that cycling through … Norway in – 20° was [a] ‘hell of a ride’, but here I’m faced with something even more challenging. Well, let’s see if it’s possible!”
Hrvoje is over halfway in his journey. Follow his travels on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
