The fabulous Melbourne Now exhibition has opened at the NGV with a long summer full of art, talks, workshops and more planned.
A highlight for bike lovers is the opportunity to hear Mick Peel of Busyman Bicycles talking about his craft. Mick is famous for his bespoke leatherwork adorning bikes all over Australia and the world. A Senior Lecturer in fashion at RMIT Mick Peel combines his leather skills with an eye for stylish design. Whether it is a saddle recovered, grips, mud flaps or tool bags, Mick’s precise hand-crafted leather work has caught the eye of the likes of Paul Smith and Richard Sachs.
Getting along to the NGV at 10:00am Wednesday 27th November will give you the opportunity to hear Mick talk about the work that keeps him so busy he is booked up until September 2014. And its not even his day job!
