Save it for a rainy day

Takaokami is the work of Danish designer Emma Jorn and was born out of frustration with Danish rainwear, designed to withstand the rigours of North sea swells and Swedish hiking trips, but with scant regard for urban cycle chicster’s fashion sensibilities.

Inspired by a trip to Tokyo and the Japanese dedication to using rainwear to ensure bad weather never interferes with their style, Takaokami , named after a Japanese rain god, is a fashion revolution for those who live in rainy cities.

“We live in the cities where it is more than allowed to look good – even if it rains. So why would metropolitan rain not also be a seductive invitation to dress up with style, finesse and femininity?” Says Emma Jorn.

The  Takaokami mini-collection includes a rain hat, with a gloriously wide brim, rain skirt, dress and jacket, just to name a few items. Emma’s designs show not only a love of fashion but also a sense of playfulness that promises to transform any journey in the rain into fun! You can pre-order now for stock that will be available in June.
