Now in its third year, Melbourne Bike Rave is a free event and possibly the most fun you can have on two wheels! Bike Rave weaves through the streets of the city pumping out tunes from sound bikes. If you came last year, you know what we are talking about, if you’ve never been before…you are in for a treat.
Bike Rave 2016 is planned for Saturday February 13th and will be leaving from Birrarung Marr. Nothing makes a rave better than the input of the people so this is one of those times to go full fluoro on your bike. Think bright lights, reflective jackets, crazy hair, glow sticks, EL wire, or anything else that flashes and blinks. This isn’t just about making sure that you look awesome, make sure your bike is pimped out also.
Bike Rave will be curating a four hour mix from some very talented producers, full of pumping party tunes to keep you dancing all night long. Get some sound for your bike, a basket and some computer speakers, portable speakers that can be attached to your bike or come up with your own system. The Bike Rave mix will be available for download leading up to the event so that every bike involved becomes one part of a huge moving sound machine!
Bike Rave meets up at 6:00pm at Birrarung Marr (The Angel, in the heart of the Treadlie Bike Hub) and launches at 7:00pm sharp. There’ll be a few stops along the way for dancing socialising. You can keep up to date with all the latest details on the event page.
