CycleHack Sydney 2.0

CycleHack is a global movement on a mission to make cycling more safe, accessible and fun by hacking solutions to barriers that keep us from moving freely around our cities.

By utilising a human-centred design process, they generate innovative ideas, develop and test prototypes, and empower participants to create simple solutions.

These ideas might focus on a physical improvement for your bike, a campaign to get more people riding, a vision for local infrastructure, or a digital app to connect and build the cycling community.

The event welcomes people from all backgrounds who love to collaborate and build ideas. You might be a seasoned cyclist, someone who has been thinking about getting back into bike riding, or a motorist who wants to help make the roads safer for all users.

You don’t need any experience with hacks, as you’ll be supported by CycleHack’s great design team all through the weekend to help you make your ideas into tangible prototypes.

Over 45 cities around the world are geared up to participate in CycleHack 2016. All ideas, prototypes and solutions are shared under a Creative Commons License in the global CycleHack catalogue.

Last year’s event rallied 1.6 million hackers across the world and gained attention from the New York Times, Road CC, Slate, Kickstarter, and more.

Join CycleHack on June 24-26 at the Michael Crouch Innovation Centre, UNSW, and be part of a global event building sustainable cities.
