Bikeweek is Western Australia’s Department of Transport’s annual celebration and promotion of riding a bicycle for transport. To the tune of Cycle Instead events are held every year across Western Australia to encourage people to give using a bike a try.
From Saturday 15 – Sunday 23 March 2014 you are invited to come along and join one of the many local activities or simply ride your bike and replace car trips when you can. Got a friend who’s bike-curious? Bring them along and help double the number of bike riders during Bikeweek.
Replacing just a couple of car trips per week with a bike ride, if everyone does it, can make a big difference to you, your local community and the environment on the streets. Whether its getting to the shops, school, the station or the pub, this is the week to give it a shot!
