CAMS Cycling Collective presents Levelled

Brisbane’s new home of cycling is coming to King Street on Monday, May 20, bringing expert indoor and outdoor cycle coaching, mechanical workshop and retail accessories, nutrition consultation, Pilates classes, bike storage, and a brand new cafe.

CAMS Cycling Collective’s state-of-the-art indoor training facilities enable riders to use their own bikes to simulate the world’s most popular and challenging courses, hill climbs included! CAMS has an unrivalled reputation for expert coaching and achieving client results. CAMS is known and respected across Queensland for providing a safe, friendly environment for anyone to achieve their cycling and fitness goals.

CAMS welcomes everyone from beginners to recreational and social riders, cyclists who want to improve their skills and endurance, and competitive cyclists who race all over Australia and some internationally. CAMS Cycling Collective is known for their strong community and team dynamic — a culture that owner and head coach Cameron Hughes is proud to have fostered.

“CAMS Cycling Collective is much more than a classy facility,” he says. “It’s a group of likeminded, friendly people with a shared passion. We support each other with professional guidance and friendship, to inspire our members to focus on the journey instead of the destination.”

An elite cyclist with over eight years of international racing under his belt across Europe, Asia, and North and South America, Cameron understands the dedication and commitment it takes, both emotionally and physically, to achieve goals, and has developed his successful coaching style from his own experience.

To celebrate the opening and rally the cycling community, CAMS Cycling Collective will host a unique fundraising event on May 25. Brisbane’s first ever car park climb, Levelled will see cyclists ascend five levels of ramps at the King Street car park—with an average gradient of 4.5 per cent over 500 metres!

Turning the top level of the King Street car park into a pumping party to raise funds for The Heart Foundation, Levelled welcomes mountain bikes, road bikes and even fixies to race against the clock and fellow riders, with over $5000 in prizes up for grabs. Spectators won’t be left out, with the rooftop village featuring a DJ, food stalls and drinks to amp up the party atmosphere.

In addition to the unrivalled cycling facilities and unique community events, CAMS brings a new café, Musette, to the precinct. Local residents, workers and cyclists alike will love the 5:30 a.m. opens, fresh, house-made breakfast and lunch items for dining in or taking away and locally-roasted Veneziano coffee!

Located in the ground level of 25 King (a new sustainable development that’s set to be the largest engineered timber commercial building in the world) CAMS Cycling Collective joins existing King Street health and wellbeing destinations including 9Round and My Health, adding to the precinct’s reputation as a health and lifestyle hub in the heart of Brisbane.
