Now, don’t get us wrong – we have a soft spot for classic pieces and a respect for tradition. But we can’t help but be rather impressed by this decidedly futuristic retro-reflective city bicycle by Mission Bicycle Company. Built by hand in San Francisco, CA, these impressive machines aren’t available in Australia but they’ve certainly captured our imagination.
This city bike features 100 integrated high-brightness light emitting diodes (LEDs) that can be programmed to deliver up to 360-degree illumination. A cross-beam of light is even included in the fork blades.
Aimed at city riders, the Integrated Lighting system was designed to make riders more visible on the road – and its super slick sci-fi look sure is a bonus.
