Its must be spring judging from the number of great bike rides being organised! Sunday 5th October sees the Beverley Heroic, the Avon Valley Century Ride for all bikes and heroes.  See where the wheat belt and great races began, enjoy quiet roads, riverside riding, and checkpoints in historic towns in beautiful Western Australia.

Riders can take part in groups of up to 30 riders on gravel and country roads. Choose your group, on the ‘heroic’ bikes of yesteryear with steel frames, down tube shifters and muddy faces or maybe you’ll want to do it on single or three speeds? You can do the fifty mile Brevet Populaire or the Heroic, one hundred miles. The Beverley Heroic is the new spring classic gran fond challenge from South Perth Cycle Club.

And for those not so eager to get out of town? There is also the opportunity to join the Beverley Heroic Town Ride, map in hand you ride the town on the same day looking for clues. Open to all from 2pm, meet at the Town Hall to get you map, ride off when you are ready. Slow down and enjoy the ride as you see Beverley as you never have before. You never know what you might find or who you might meet.

The Beverley heroic Town Ride proudly supported by the RAC’s Community Sponsorships program.

Whiel the Town Ride can be joined on the day, registrations for the Beverley Heroic close this Friday September 26th.
