The Rolling Fix

Two young Sydney cyclists, Thomas Treloar and Cameron Harrison are the founders of the mobile bicycle maintenance service called, The Rolling Fix (TRF). TRF is a convenient and high-quality mobile bicycle maintenance service. By doing the work on the spot, they completely remove the hassle and putting off your needed bike service – resulting in a safer and better preforming bike.

Providing tailored servicing packages for a range of clients, from major corporate buildings, large scale charity cycling events such as the recent Steve Waugh Foundation, Captain’s Ride, and the individual casual or everyday commuter. Taking the mechanic service beyond the single visit, they pride themselves on their great customer experience. TRF maintain log books of your previous services and remind you when you when you are due for your next bicycle check-up.

The TRF concept came from a natural flow of events, sparked by a lightbulb idea from an article on “End Of Trip Facilities”, to offer a mobile bicycle maintenance service focusing on high density corporate buildings. With Thomas and Cameron both being avid cyclists and handy on the tools, the pair were already being constantly approached to fix peoples’ bikes. From there, The Rolling Fix started rolling.

The initial “lightbulb” moment took place back in January 2014 and over the next 18 months Cameron and Thomas worked tirelessly on the TRF concept, refining their business plan and service offering until it was perfect. Fast forward to November 2015, The Rolling Fix continues to be a great success with Thomas and Cameron fully committing their time and funds to TRF. Both admit that this has been the biggest hurdle that they have had to face to date, but love it.

Evident by their constant and sustained growth, TRF has rolled out to Brisbane and Melbourne, and locking in servicing contracts with over 20 of the country’s largest corporations and buildings including; Lend Lease, Chifley Tower, Dexus, CBRE Head Office and both Macquarie Bank and NAB in Sydney and Brisbane.

They have found that word-of-mouth has been a big factor in their success to date. Proudly, they have retained many of their ‘day one’ customers, who continue to recommend TRF to their friends and colleagues. Even though the business is continuing to grow at a healthy rate, the guys are determined to make sure they maintain their high level of customer service and quality of workmanship.

Now the primary business focus for Thomas and Cameron is to continue to roll out more mobile TRF mechanics onto the streets of Melbourne and Brisbane, catering for the growing demand from both individual commuters and major corporations alike.
