Ride 2 Work Day

Its Ride 2 Work day again soon, October 16th is the annual celebration of just how much better it is to get to work by bike!

Whether you ride the whole way or ride to the station/tram stop/bus stop the secret to happiness lies in those precious minutes on the bike so if you haven’t yet given it a shot then this is the perfect time to do so. Check out your local council, bike organisation or even your workplace to find a local Ride 2 Work Breakfast, tips and tricks or people to ride with.

But don’t overthink it. Riding to work is not a religion, it doesn’t take masses of organisation and it isn’t a sporting event. It will be exactly what you make of it so make it as easy as you’d like it to be.

Here’s where you can find some local Ride2Work celebrations:

CBD celebrations in major cities can be found here.

Bicycle Queensland are organising these breakfasts.

Velo Cycles in Melbourne are hosting a Ride 2 Work breakfast with St Ali North cafe on the Capital City bike path.

Abbotsford Convent are also hosting a community breakfast with some fabulous prizes.

And the City of Port Phillip are hosting not one, but three Ride 2 Work breakfasts with great prizes and fun!

This is just the tip of the ice-berg so check your local council, your workplace and your local bike shop to find the best brekkie for you!
