MoreArt 2013 with The Squeaky Wheel

Its that time of year again! Spring has sprung and art comes to the Upfield in Moreland with the launch of the 2013 MoreArt Exhibition.

What do koalas made from recycled plastic bags, taxidermy animals and Egyptian pyramids have in common? All are pieces by Melbourne artists inspired by Moreland’s public spaces, selected to headline this years’ MoreArt Public Art Show.

The annual show, co-curated Jane O’Neill (Art Series Hotels, Art Aficionados) and Dan Mitchell (Moreland City Council Arts and Culture), encourages local artists to reimagine the train stations and bicycle paths along the Upfield line from Brunswick to Coburg from 6 October – 10 November.

As usual, the Squeaky Wheel will be hosting several rides on which to discover the stories behind the art installations, each ride with its own character, so you’ll be sure to discover the right one for you!  These tours are free, are extremely popular and bookings are essential.
